Events Page

The Events page provides a calendar of recent and upcoming GIS events of interest to the GIS Alley community.  Hover your cursor over any line item to see more details, or click the item to view complete details.

Calendar Views

The default page view is a chronological list of recent and upcoming events.  If you prefer, you can view the page as a weekly or monthly calendar by clicking the or icons in the page toolbar, respectively.  Click the icon to return to the list view.

Event Reminders

Registered users can subscribe to the calendar to receive an e-mail when new events are added to the list - check the Notify Me box in the toolbar to opt-in for this service.

You can also register to receive an e-mail reminder of specific upcoming events on the event details page.  Click an event to view its details, then enter the e-mail address where the reminder is to be sent & the number of days/hours/minutes before the event to be reminded, then click the red Notify Me for this Event link.

Adding Events to the Calendar

Registered users on GIS Alley can post their own events to the calendar on the site, subject to moderator approval.

Items will be considered based on their appropriateness for the site according to GIS Alley guidelines, and may include:

• Events that are of general interest to the GIS Community in Northern Colorado;
• Company events hosted by GIS Alley member companies that are open to attendance by others;
• GIS Alley & regional GIS events

To add an Event, click on the Add Event icon  in the events toolbar on the upper right corner of the Events page, complete the entry form, and click Update near the bottom of the page.  A moderator will be notified of your submission, and will review it as soon as possible.

The events listing on the home page is updated approximately every 30 minutes, so your event may not appear there immediately after it has been approved - just be patient.
