Agenda for March 20th Geospatial Cluster Meeting to Includes a Presentation on Oracle Spatial

Jesse Sheffield, Director of Data Services with GeoMega Inc. of Boulder, delivered a presentation designed to educate attendees on the spatial functionality provided in Oracle at the March GIS Cluster meeting. Topics included the geometric primitives it supports as well as queries, coordinate systems, imagery, topology and visualization.

In addition, the presentation covered spatial data capabilities in other database environments.

With over 24 years experience in Data Base Management Systems, Spatial Technologies, and VLDB architecture, Jesse has been a critical asset in the success of several of the largest and most complex Oracle Spatial projects to date and is regarded as one of the foremost experts in the implementation of Oracle Spatial technology.

As Director of Data Services for Geomega Inc., Jesse is responsible for the development and management of all IT consulting, training and support services provided by Geomega Inc and is one of the key members of the consulting staff available to customers and partners.
